We are building a new way to interact with people by leveraging technology.
We have built a community of people to whom we provide a platform to socialize and meet new people with the same interests to spend quality time together.
In 2022, thanks to our 37.000 customers community, we made 25.000 people meet in 1.577 events and 90 travels.
For 2023 and the years to come, internationalization and therefore the transformation into a European scale up awaits us, we’re excited!
What we are looking for
We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our amazing Tech Team in order to support Meeters’ products. The ideal candidate must be able to understand the scope of the work, the deliverables, meet our stakeholders’ requests and is primarily responsible for all elements of product development: from problem analysis to solution delivery. As a Backend developer, you’ll work closely with our engineers to ensure system consistency and improve the user experience.

What will you do? Role highlights
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
- Write clean code to develop functional web applications
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Perform UI tests to optimize performance
- Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
- Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Gather and address technical and design requirements
- Provide training and support to internal teams
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
- Follow emerging technologies
- You will join a small, distributed team of developers with decision-making autonomy: you will be responsible for your work.
- You will ship high-quality software: well-designed, well-tested and scalable.
- You will work closely with other key areas, owning the process from the problem analysis to the solution delivery.
Technical requirements & soft skills:
- Strong knowledge of web technologies, our current backend stack is Node.js, Apollo Server/GraphQL, MongoDB
- Minimum 3 years experience in tech teams as backend developer
- Love for test-driven development: passionate about writing clean, testable and scalable code
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
- Working knowledge of CMS framework
- Knowledge of CI/CD and cloud deployment, our current infrastructure is on AWS
- Proficient using Git and Github
- Knowledge of Jira, Asana or other product management tools
- Be fluent in English & Italian
- Strong critical thinking skills
- The ability to find the right balance between moving fast and thinking long term
- Have an analytical and detail focused mindset
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-changing and high-paced environment

Nice to have
Previous experience gathered in b2c scale-up environment.
